Formcraft provides an easy means of achieving high standards of strength, energy efficiency, and acoustic and fire performance with its Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF) and its Formdeck floors. ICF has been used in Europe and North America for many years and has proved to be an extremely solid, cost-effective and fast-track method of construction.
ICF walls and Formdeck floors use reinforced concrete and can withstand much stronger weather conditions than conventional construction systems. The Formcraft building systems have an R factor of 3.5 easily exceeding the new Australian standards which can translate into a 40% saving in energy costs when compared to conventional construction methods. The walls and floors also have an excellent sound transmission rating. Together this provides a superior internal environment which is comfortable, quiet and energy efficient.
The durable Expanded Polystyrene Panels used in the system are treated with a fire retardant and have a 3 hr fire rating. Formcraft also maximises the amount of recycled material used in all its products, especially the connection system. These products are inert, hypoallergenic and no CFC's are used in the production process.
